From a single welding unit in Jasdan, Rajkot, we have spent three decades building the vehicles that serve communities at their most human moments — the final journey of a loved one, the rush to save a life, the movement of livelihoods. No showroom. No middlemen. Just craft, delivered with honesty.
How It Began
A workshop, a craft, and a
community to serve.
Jay Khodiyar Welding Works was founded in Sanathali, Jasdan — a small town in Rajkot district — at a time when the villages of Saurashtra had no dignified, purpose-built option for the transport of the deceased. Funeral processions relied on whatever vehicle was available. The need was obvious; the solution was not.
What began as a general welding and fabrication unit gradually became the region's most trusted builder of the Shanti Rath — a purpose-designed trailer body that gives families the dignity their loved ones deserve in their final journey.
Over three decades, we expanded our work to ambulance body fabrication, Moksh Rath, Hearse vehicles, and commercial vehicle bodies — but the founding principle never changed: build it right, build it to last, and build it for the people who depend on it most.

Every stage, under one roof.
From raw metal to road-ready vehicle — design, fabrication, finishing, and fitments happen entirely within our Jasdan workshop. No outsourcing, no assembly from third-party bodies.
Heavy-Duty Metal Fabrication
MS and SS structural fabrication for vehicle bodies, frames, and chassis mounts — built to withstand decades of road use.
Custom Body Building
Every Shanti Rath, ambulance body, and commercial vehicle box is dimensioned and finished to order — no two builds are identical.
In-House Finishing & Paint
Surface preparation, primer coat, body paint, and decorative finish — including religious text, gold filigree panels, and wheel detailing — all done on-site.
Electrical & Fitments
LED lighting systems, in-built music/bhajan setups, donation box fitment, and interior fixtures are integrated before delivery.

Every Shanti Rath that leaves this workshop was shaped, welded, finished, and painted by hand. No assembly line, no outsourced panels. The man who cut the metal is the same man who handed over the keys.

We have delivered single units to small village trusts and batches of vehicles to larger institutions — without treating either differently. The ambition behind every build is identical: make it right, make it last.
Every Detail, In-House
The body frame, the decorative panels, the gold filigree, the religious lettering, the LED fitment, the wheel finish — all of it is done under our own roof in Jasdan. Nothing leaves for a third party to complete.

This is not a company managed from a distance. The founder is present at the workshop, hands-on, for every build. That personal investment in every vehicle is what thirty years of repeat trust is built on.

it's built to last.
Material Integrity
We use MS and SS structural metal sourced from verified suppliers. No cost-cutting on raw material — the frame of a vehicle that carries human remains or a patient in an emergency is not the place to compromise.
Build-to-Last Construction
Every joint is welded, not bolted where strength is required. Bodies are designed for 10–15 years of active use on Indian roads — including rough village tracks, monsoon-damaged paths, and highway travel.
Inspection Before Dispatch
No vehicle leaves the workshop without a complete visual and functional inspection — including body rigidity, lighting fitment, door and latch function, and finish quality. Customers are welcome to inspect in person before acceptance.
